Search the census index
Enter one or more terms in the panel on the left, then run a search. Matching records will appear here as a table you can browse and inspect.
- Start with a Name (Must be typed in Arabic script: such as Mehmet or Muhammad = محمد) add father, date, or location to narrow results.
- Click Search to load matching rows in this area.
- Click a row to open Selection Details with every field from that record.
- All Names (Person, Father, Family, etc.), Occupations, Physical Features, etc. must be entered in Arabic script (see Sample Census Record under the Research tab for examples of what needs to be typed in Arabic script).
- Dates, Place names, Ages, and any Numbers can be searched using the Latin script alphabet (see Sample Census Record under the Research tab for examples of what needs to be typed the Latin script).
After your first search, use Advanced filters in the left panel to filter by place, community, NFS volume, registry year, and more. Use Columns to show or hide table fields.
